We guide the famed Vermilion River in northern Ohio, located in Lake Erie's central basin. The Vermilion River is one of five rivers stocked by the state of Ohio, it is the farthest river west in the state on the stocking program. The steelhead are
stocked every spring, then they migrate to Lake Erie and feed aggressively, after two years in the lake they return to the rivers to spawn. They start to show up in the rivers in September and stay until mid May.We will teach you where to fish in the Vermilion River, what type of water to look for,and how to present your baits. We can teach you to noodle rod fish, center pin fish and fly fish for these silver bullets.

Smallmouth Bass Fishing
In addition to Steelhead Fishing we offer Smallmouth Bass Fishing Trips

before, then you are in for a treat.
Our native smallies average 10" to
18" in length, but in May and June
the lake run fish enter the river to
spawn, they can get as big as 22"
and weight up to 7 lb. So if you are

    Saugeye Fishing
We guide Pleasant Hill Lake situated
  in Richland and Ashland counties
  near Loudonville in Mohican country
  for saugeye.Pleasant Hill Lake does
have a slot limit of 15 inches and 6
  fish per person. Saugeye are
created by crossing walleye eggs     with sperm from a sauger. The result
is a fast growing fish that has excellent survival abilities. We are
able to take 1 and 2 man guided trips
on our 16 foot sea nyph bass boat.
Pleasant Hill Lake is 1 hour and 15 minutes from Vermilion. We run
trips from May til November.
   Crappie Fishing
We guide the Vermilion River for
Crappie the months of April,May
and November. My personal best
Crappie is 4.5 lb , 19 inches caught
in the Vermilion River in the fall.
The average fish is 10 to 14 inches,
but in November the larger fish feed heavy for the winter and in the  spring the average fish feeds heavy for the spawn. So if you want to catch numbers, fish in the spring but if you want to catch larger fish, fish in the fall. We are able to
take up to 4 man guided trips for
for these taste fish.
